Application of Shini Robots Combined with Central Conveying System

The fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) has arrived, the manufacturing industry need to adapt to this rapid change and reshape their strategies if they do not want to be left behind by their competitors. The focal point in Industry 4.0 is the integration of information and automation technology. The system application, intelligent production technology and industrial manufacturing means not just a simple production process, they need system integrator to provide a decent solution. System integration plays an essential role for providing smart factory automation solution, but not necessary provide the machine itself. 

An electronic product manufacturer in Dongguan has installed Shini central conveying system in 2015. The manufacturer mainly produces electronic gaming machines and it is one of the world’s largest toy manufacturers. Installing Shini central conveying system can improve the utilization of production floor space and cleanliness, implement a better material management and increase the production efficiency. In other words, it can improve manufacturer profit and its competitive position in the marketplace. 

However, if feeding the material manually, it is not only waste the labor force and but also fall the burden for employees to work long hours with high working intensity. Thus, we recommended our customer to use multi-joint industrial robot to feed the material to the central conveying system and to take one more step in the direction of smart factory and full automation.
Industrial robot is high-efficient, stable, fast and able to work long hours. Moreover, robot can work far beyond the physical limit of human strength and demonstrate consistent performance in whatever harsh environment. The robot features higher production capacity compared with employees working around the clock. 

After using robot to feed the material, the employees just need to put the raw material at the central control station to let the robot pickup the material itself. After pickup of material bag, the robot will cut off the bag on top of the hopper. Using robot can not only achieve automated production but also increase the utilization rate of machine.   
In addition, the convergence of Shini central conveying system and the robot integrated system can monitor and control the feeding system. The robot can act corresponding to system alarm and feed the material according to the data of material consumption or customer’s requirement to achieve better material management and control.
