Small Central Conveying System Used in Auto Parts Industry

One company in Changsha is a modern enterprise which mainly designs, develops, produces, manufactures and sales automotive bumper, exterior parts and spoiler in process of injection molding and coating. With world advanced technology, process, production experience, and scientific management method, it gradually becomes the large enterprise in development, design and manufacturing of auto plastic parts with host manufacturers. 

 

The customer has planned central conveying for one set of injection molding machine in system. Its conveying capacity is 800kg/Hr, and has three materials for drying and one pipe for wet material conveying. As to ensure conveying capacity, it adopts one set of Auto Loader SAL-5HP-UG124 with three sets of drying hoppers SHR-24U-S and one set of Auto Loader SAL-10HP-UG with one IMM hopper SHR-36U for loading. As it only uses one material each time, it adopts 1-to-4 pipeline to connect 4 materials after pipe getting out from the IMM. In addition, it equipped the pneumatic shut-off valves on each pipeline, which open automatically when choosing one of materials. The material could be conveyed to the IMM through the pipeline. While pneumatic shut-off valves on other three pipelines are closed. So it’s the same when choosing other three materials.  

The system adopts central control system and integrates two sets of Auto Loaders, which could be operated by customers via a controller. And use friendly operation interface makes easy operation. Moreover, for convenient manual operation and check, this system employs two touch screens. The touch screen on main control box is beside the storage tank, and the other is on the IMM. In addition, as drying hoppers are mounted on platform, it requires the operator to climb on it for operation and check, causing some inconveniences. Thus, we assembled the control of three Dryers into the central control system, which controls overheat alarm and drying blower’s operation. By P.I.D algorithm of Siemens S7-200, it ensures drying temperature at the setting range. Furthermore, users could control the drying blower, heater and drying temperature only via HMI of central control system, which is convenient for production and maintenance.

Since this system was put into use, there’s no production shutdown or feeding failure caused by equipment or improper installation phenomenon. With improved production efficiency, it is well-received by the customer. For the further, Shini will continuously pursue excellence to provide customers with premium products and better services.
