Solution for Color Shade of SCM-D-75/75

Problem Description

SCM-D-75/75 is directly installed on Injection Molding Machine. The parameters are below: melt time is 2 seconds, per mold injection weight is 30g. One masterbatch is yellow masterbatch (adding proportion is 1.5%), one additive is anti-counterfeiting material (adding proportion is 3%), and no precision control requirements. The proportion of yellow color masterbatch is 4%, melt time is 3 seconds, per mold injection weight is 40g, which are different from actual parameters; the proportion of anti-counterfeiting additives is 7%, melt time is 3 seconds, per mold injection weight is 40g, which are different from actual parameters. Product has color shade and can not meet customers requirements.

Analysis

The machine parameters (melt time / per mold injection weight) setting is not correct, 50 seconds test values is not accurate, the relevant parameters will cause affect product color shade directly.


Solution

Reset melts time, adjust proportion, per mold injection weight, etc. Testing time is 50 seconds. The result is: yellow color masterbatch is 45g (2 tests are the same), anti-counterfeiting additives is 25g (2 tests are the same). Reboot test, the color of finished product is lighter than the samples, the reason is that the deviation of output proportion of yellow mastebatch (standard error range of±1%), so the ratio will be adjusted to 1.7%, product has no color shade and comply with requirements.
