Case studies -- Automation application on household appliance industry

With the improvement of living standard, almost all families owns at least one washing machine, one television and other household appliances. The improvement has brought opportunities to home appliance manufacturers. A well-known Wuxi home appliance manufacturer was established in 1958, a leading washing machine manufacturers, has purchased 11 sets of automation equipment from SHINI. The equipment including one three servo driven robot, one EOAT for picking-up product and cutting sprue, one conveyor and one safety guard.

After purchasing the automation equipment from SHINI, the customer can significantly reduce manpower cost and improve productivity. Before using robot, each IMM needs one operator to pickup product from IMM. The work is monotonous and cause high level worker mobility to the company. Moreover, the wage is getting higher. After using robot, robot can replace the operator to take out the product and cut the sprue, and conveyor can transfer the finished-products, whole production become safer. As a responsible employer, using robot to replace those workers working beside a big IMM to provide a safe and healthy working environment to their employee is their duty.

Pickup the parts manually will easily cause defected parts and make trouble to operate the injection molding machine. With automation, customer can reduce labour cost and maintenance a stabler production cycle. After using the robot, each robot movement and time interval is fixed, production cycle is relatively stabler and the product quality is improved.

Shini full servo driven robots can be divided to single-arm and double-arm; single-stage arm and telescopic-arm for selection. They are suitable for 2-plate mold, 3-plate mold and hot-runner system. Capable of arranging, stacking, quality checking, insert-loading and other applications. It’s suitable for injection molding machine under 3600T clamp force.
