Report on the Establishment of Shini Water Chiller Performance Laboratory

Without an exclusive water chiller performance laboratory, Shini group had to delivery the newly-developed water chillers out of company for a long time to test whether they live up to national standards. This old fashion of testing is expensive and time consuming because it takes at least 15 days to delivery machines before receiving test result. Besides, repeating testing of newly-developed products affects the schedule of design and exploitation. Fortunately, after more than half year construction with 1 million RMB investments, Shini exclusive water chiller performance laboratory has been successfully completed, which resolves the problem of design progress and provides strong guarantee for products quality promotion. There are six features of performance laboratory as follows:

 

Design Principles

At present, national judgments to determine the production of water chillers are GB/T18430.1-2007 standard (Steam Compressed loops Refrigeration Industry for heat pump unit and water chillers for heat pump with similar purpose), GB/18430.2-2007 (Steam Compressed loops Refrigeration Industry for heat pump unit and water chillers for heat pump with similar purpose). Therefore Shini water performance laboratory is built according to design criterions listed above.

 

Measurement Range

Shini water chiller products mainly center on small size industrial air cooling and water cooling chillers, which are exported to other countries. Water chiller performance laboratory is capable of satisfying demands of testing air cooling and water cooling chillers. Refrigerant measurement range is 0-50KW; power range is 3Ф200VAC/50Hz, 3Ф400VAC/50Hz, 3Ф230VAC/60Hz, 3Ф460VAC/60Hz, 3Ф440VAC/60Hz, 3Ф575VAC/60Hz.

 

Working Condition of Testing

A simulated testing room can be created to test the water chiller units based on GB/T18430.1-2007 and GB/T18430.2-2007 standard with the data of Table 1. In this way, refrigerating output and COP value can be detected under different wrking donditions.

 

 

 

 

Major Material of Laboratory

Testing materials in laboratory include dry ball temperature of environment air inlet, wet ball of environment air inlet, relative humidity (After transition); chilled water inlet temperature of tested equipment, chilled water outlet temperature, chilled water resistance, quantity of chilled water flow; cooling water inlet temperature of tested equipment, cooling water outlet temperature, cooling water resistance, quantity of cooling water flow; voltage, current and power of tested equipment; refrigerant system high pressure and low pressure values, 24 circuit assistant temperature spot, refrigerating output and COP value.

 

Acceptance Inspection

All of the measurement apparatus employed by Shini water chillers performance laboratory have been passed the verification of National Metrological Service. Authority of test reports can be ensured with accurate and effective testing material. Any equipment which passed the testing report would be judged to reach the national standard.

 

Laboratory Management

Only engineers with professional training can be authorized to operate tests in performance laboratory on the basis of lab management rules. An integrated application is obligatory for all tests and the integrated test report should be submitted to superior for approval after testing. The whole operation procedure will be brought into ISO-9001 Quality Management System and all the test reports will be published on the knowledge platform for reference.
