Barbecue and Farewell Party for Chris Chang

At the dusk of 13th, September, a barbecue activity let the staff of Corporate Technology Center father in Shini Litchi Garden. Based on the past experiences, this activity was organized in a smooth order due to the detailed plans ranging from task allocation, material purchasing, fire making and site cleaning.

The barbecue’s beginning off duty left most colleagues out of dinner, so they brooked no delay to start roasting once the fire raised into flames. Silver papers were put on the grill for laying food so that food can be roasted in a hygeian way without scorch.

A bowl of vinegar-pepper soup or lemon tea was capable of reducing the proportion of greasy food in the stomach. Therefore, vinegar-pepper soup and lemon tea made by Chris Chang always received great welcome in each barbecue activity. All of us were looking forward to be served by these special kinds of drinks next time.

The barbecue worked not only as the link to connect relationships among staff of Corporate Technology Center but as the farewell party for the Superior Chris Chang to express our gratitude in terms of his dedication to Shini group. His Leaving office on September rendered the barbecue the final gathering with subordinates.

Since Jan, 2008, Chris Chang has been serving in Shini Corporate Technology Center (originally called Corporate Strategic Center”) as the High Superior. Chris Chang brought in advanced science and technology management concepts which consists re-design of corporate information system, ERP project, self-developed eLearning system, knowledge management system, transformation of R&D process, re-built of quality control system, introduction of customer training system, product resume design and customer service management system. These reforms will help Shini transfer from production-oriented to technology-oriented, from manufacture to service innovation, from local company to international enterprise.

In the meantime of bringing advanced science and technology management concepts, Chris Chang also stressed the foster and reserve of talents. And this is why he made full use of the time in the evening to set up 5 training courses of management, which was designed to offer systematic lectures for Section Chiefs and reserve talents. The successful cooperative model of industrial-education-research proposed by Chris Chang has enabled many college students to fulfill external internship in Shini.

No one in Corporate Technology Center was not affected by the quality of honesty of Chris Chang because he kept strictly the rules for reward and punishment and headed towards innovation. I was extraordinarily lucky to be tutored by Chris Chang, his reminding of being rigorous catered to what my instructor of Mechanical Major taught me,” according to Henry Zhang when he mentioned Chris Chang.

A good beginning makes a million miles journey, a right direction of compass makes a smooth voyage of ship. It was Chris Chang’s instructions that push me for progresses! ” assistant May Huang expressed her moods.

Section Chief Johnny of Auxiliary Equipment Engineer Center showed his wishes for Chris Chang with plain words: I took no flowers, no praises, no presents and no surprises but a gentle gratitude for your instructions and best blessing for your future life!

The excellent personality of honesty and strictness from Chris Chang improved my work and his leadership also enhanced the teamwork and R&D development. For instance, the reengineering process designed by Chris Chang greatly advanced the quality and performance of sample machines. I have been working in Shini for tow years, and it was Chris Chang who gave me a precious chance to be the leader of Test Section from a beginner. Now his termination of service really grieved me as I want to show him my accomplishments,” remarked Sample Test Section Chief Benny Huang.

For Director Zhu of Information Application Department, no other feeling can be stronger than the affection towards Chris Chang. All the challenges plus mirth and setback we once confronted during Chris Chang’s service of office flashed through my mind. I should be grateful for his outstanding skills to promote Information Application Department into the Information headquarter of the whole Shini group, to date being helpful of stabilize and maturate application system.

The spirit of Equality, Innovation, Cheerfulness, and Fearlessness” was what Chris Chang persistently promoted. Surely this promotion went not as a plain sailing but Chris Chang still adhered to his own belief and value, dealing with routines in a superstrong status of patience and intensity everyday.

For Chris Chang, the affections expressed above were far from being concluded. Actually, every one of us in Corporate Technology Center would just like to make a common voice: All is well for good man!
