Industrial-education-research Cooperation Bear Fruit in Shini

The day of 12th, May 2011 witnessed the handshake between Kenny Wu, President of Shini Donguan and Dr. Zhong, Director of School of Mechanical Engineering in Dongguan University of Technology. Their exchange of agreement also marks the second Industrial-education-research Cooperation since 18th, November, 2008.

Donation of Equipments

This time Shini Donguan donates one Transverse Single Axis Servo Driven Robot for School of Mechanical Engineering. This set of robot, plus one Molding Automation Equipment donated in 2008, is worth of 137.3 thousand RMB. A total of 47 sets of moulds in Teaching and Research Office in campus are donated by Shini Donguan. The significance of cooperation between school and company is far-reaching due to two reasons: on one hand, the assembly and production mode can be introduced into school to guarantee a sound production environment for factory; on the other hand, school masters are able to do further researches into hardware stamping, punching, molding and slicing, subjects like that.

Training of "Excellent Engineers"

Dongguan University of Technology has chosen Shini Donguan as the Internship Base for seniors since graduates majoring in Machine Design and Automation took part in the pilot project of Excellent Engineers”. This group of students not only bears basic knowledge of solid but possesses good awareness of innovation. In 15th, July, altogether ten students secured their internship opportunity in Corporate Technology Center and Automation Business Department after passing examination and interview. They will spend one year in fulfilling their internship through one-to-one training. Furthermore, Shini group specially establishes scholarship to encourage outstanding students to develop careers in Shini after graduation.

Cooperation Demonstration

Dr. Zhong Shouyan, also Director of School of Mechanical Engineering, praises Shini Donguan for its contribution to foster students and quotes that Shini takes the leading role among enterprises in Dalang town with the growth of scientific innovations. At present, School of Mechanical Engineering of Donguan University of Technology and Shini Dongguan kicked off some key projects and researches such as design assessment, industrial design, product structure research and development and testing of precise components. These projects specialize in plastic auxiliary equipment molding, servo driven system, Automation technology and solutions. We are delightful to see that Industrial-education-research Cooperation mode has stepped in the right track and continued to achieve a win-win strategy.
