Robots for 24 Cavities PET Preform

One medical packing company—Shini’s customer in Sichuan, specialized in PET preform, including oral fluid polyester PET preform, oral fluid high-density polyethylene PET preform, oral fluid low-density polyethylene PET preform, oral fluid polypropylene PET preform, oral solid high-density polyethylene PET preform, external liquid high density polyethylene pet preform. This company covers an area of 12,000 square meters and produces 370 million PET preform each year.


In mid- 2012, this company bought one Shini robot (ST1-900-1600) and one Shini belt conveyor (SC-500W-2500L) to take out and convey 24 PET preforms each mold. The resulting performance and quality are outstanding.


The advantages of using robot to take out PET preform:


Improve products quality: Manually taking out or auto ejection could damage and contaminate the products and mold and reduce production rate. Robots help to provide steady and stable repeated motion for maximizing production rate and quality.


Provide safety: if products auto ejections without any detection, even products not ejected mold will close and damaged, influence mold service life and pay more maintenance costs. After using robot, robot to take out products together with products detection before mold close and output signal to injection molding machine, ensure totally take out products, keep machines and human safety.


Reduce labors and costs.


Improve workshop management: reduce lots of labors and together them in package area, easy to manage and perfect order.

Improve corporate image: full automatic production ensures the quality, high-efficiency and good corporate image.


The ST1 series robot is designed for rapid and precise removal of sprue and products form injection molding machine, and place them at desired position locations. Standard and telescopic arm(s) are selectable according to the application of 2-plate mold, 3-plate mold or hot runner system. Suitable for injection molding machine with clamping force below 850T.
