Successful Application of Central Conveying System in Automobile Parts Industrial

An automotive parts manufacturing company in Chongqin has entered the world of fortune 500 Sino foreign joint ventures. The company manufacture of automotive external lighting and partial internal lighting, interior, air-conditioner system, it integrates development, sales, purchase and production together, which is a world famous automobile parts’ supplier. Its headquarter located in Michigan of the US and the manufacturing plant, technology center, sales center and the joint venture are all over the world.

The company introduced Shini Central Conveying System in 2014. For the special characteristics of the products, it used engineering plastic materials such as PMMA, PC, PP, PBT etc…, the processing amount is 6-90kg/hr(13.2~198.5lb/hr). Projects are as below: 

According to characteristic requirements of the material and products, when plan the central conveying system for above engineering plastic materials, considering the stability of product and moisture content after drying, according to the principle that the drying capacity equals to drying hour times the injection amount, the dryers should select SHD-80U、SHD-230U、SHD-160U、SHD-450U、SHD-300U.

Except for Shini European dryer, the system also equipped with the dehumidifier. According to different engineering plastics, it designs the machine in different types. The designs for one set of dehumidifier connected to several sets of drying hoppers, integrated dryers and dehumidifiers possess simple structure, easy operation and convenient maintenance. Different material has different color, the same type of material adopts the integrated design and connected to one set of dehumidifier, the models are SD-700H, SD-1000H.

By restrictions of material, product’s models and structure of the plant, the central conveying system has to realize specified material conveying of every injection machine. The conveying system layout is one set of injection machine use one material pipe, and the conveying area has material distribution station. The central control station is one set of machine connected to 36 points which controls multiple vacuum pumps and injection machines’ feeding. It also controls the system external signal, working condition and real-time monitoring of potential failures as well. 

Adopting Siemens PLC control, it is easy for expanding, in low failure rate, easy and convenient maintenance for peripheral circuit which reduced the costs. The areas for material and injection employed two set of vacuum generators respectively. 

For better management, the conveying area has divided into two layers, the first layer is for material storage, and the second layer is for material drying and dehumidifying. This conveying system takes advantage of the space for plant reasonable layout. Materials are in centralized storage or stacking, the dusts is recycled intensively which is far from the production line and the staff has enough spacious room to process centralized operation. Therefore, it improves the inconvenience by too many persons on the production site and working condition has significant improvement which enhanced the cleanliness of environment and the production efficiency. Technique layout of the conveying pipeline and reasonable arrangement of the factory facilities beautified the workshop.
