Q: What doesR2”of SIC-3A-R2 series stands for?
A: At present, SHINI has renamed the refrigerant types for SIC water chillers series: R1 stands for 407C, R2 stands for 410A and R3 for 134a.
Q: Why does water chillers adopt R410A refrigerant?
A: Currently R22 is the most widely used refrigerant in refrigeration and air conditioning industry. Due to the fact that R22 has been listed as the forbidden medium with harm effects on ozone layer and the trait of greenhouse effect, now it is urgent to look for a kind of refrigerant with no harm on the ozone layer. Environmental refrigerant R407C produces no harm to the ozone layer while it has a wide temperature sliding range (4~6℃), which renders maintenance inconvenient. However, environmental refrigerant R410A has high heat conductivity with a small temperature sliding range of 0.1℃and produces no harm to the ozone layer. Besides, it has high energy efficiency and convenient maintenance. Therefore employing R410A refrigerant in water chiller has a favorable prospect.
Q: What attentions need to pay when adopting R410A?
A: 1. During normal operation, working pressure of R410A is 60% higher than that of R22 on average thus its compressive strength should be designed more intense than the system of R22.
2. Due to binary mixed flowing quality of R410A, filling process should be finished in liquid status.
