RS485 Communication Interface Applied in Mould Temperature Controller
With the development of network
technologies, the networking and intelligent has already been the important
direction for plastic auxiliary equipment. As to realize the networking monitor
function for mould temperature controller and plastic host machine or other
monitor’s host machine, Shini mould temperature controller STM, STM-W, STM-WF,
STM-W/O all standard equipped with the RS485 communication interfaces.
RS485 is one standard of
serial-data interface. For its features simple structure of interface, convenient
networking, far transmission distance and are commonly used in industrial
control applications. RS485 communication interface usually is double-line of
half-duplex network which adopts data balance-drive and differential-receiver transmission modes (the terminal transfers signal into positive and negative lines
dividedly; when signals reach the receiving ends, subtract the two signals and
get previous signals), which possess strong anti-interference performance and
signal long-distance transmission ability.
The connection of communication networking is topological structure in bus mode which can connect 32 nodes at most in a bus. In RS485 communication network mainly adopts the master-slave communication mode, it is one master station with multiple slave stations. In many situations, when connecting RS485 communication link, it only need a pair of shield twisted-pair cables to connect the“A”, “B” interfaces. But the RS485 standard only specified the electrical characteristics in physics; it does not refer to the plug-in unit and communication protocol. Therefore, based on RS485 interface in actual application, should choose suitable high level communication protocol.
Shini STM controller integrates RS485 communication interface, it suggests that the high level communication protocol use industrial communication protocol Modbus-RTU for data communication. As Modbus is a universal opening communication protocol internationally which features simple protocol, cheap hardware, high universality and is convenient. There are lots of factories manufactured PLC, HMI and configuration software are all support the Modbus protocol. So Shini Mould Temperature Controller can be easily connected to the RS485 monitoring network or integrated to the injection control system.Special Reports
