Principle and Application of Pneumatic Conveying Technology

Share to:

Shini Plastics Technologies (Dongguan), Inc. introduced the rotary valve technology fromJapan, and started the production of rotary valve ever since.

In a bid to enrich product categories, for larger market share and better service, the Shini Group re-expanded its capital and founded the Dongguan Shinchen Engineering Co., Ltd in 2014.

The brand new Shinchen not only continued its production, manufacture and research for rotary valve based on the advanced Japanese technologies, but also applied all sorts of valve production technologies fromTaiwan, which enhanced its competitiveness on the market. Moreover, it added the powder and granule conveying project. The project section has more than 20 years experience on designing, it possesses lots of successful cases on powder and granule, chemical, plastics and food industries etc. In the design, it also integrated the advanced concept from Japanese advisor, which made further efforts to guarantee the safety, rationality and efficiency of the project. As to provide better service to the mainland customers, many high technology equipments are imported fromJapanandEuropeas well. Besides, Shinchen still dedicated to sale the premium Chinese equipment toJapanandIndiato offer better service to local customers there.

Principle of Pneumatic Conveying

Pneumatic conveying is an important conveying method for the materials (mainly for powder, granules less than10mm). It also named as airflow conveying. Taking advantage of the airflow energy to convey the particle materials along with the airflow direction through closed pipeline, it is the specific application of the fluidization technology. Pneumatic conveying device features simple structure and operation, enabling horizontal, vertical and inclined conveying. During the conveying, physical operation like heating, cooling, drying and airflow classification or some chemical operation can be handled at the same time, used in a wide range of application.

Category of Pneumatic Conveying

Pneumatic Conveying State

1.Floating flow: ( Dilute phase)

When the air velocity is high, the particles evenly distributed are floating in airflow and being conveyed.

2.Bottom dense flow:

When more closing to the bottom of tube, the particles distributed more densely and being conveying unceasingly with irregular rotation and collision.
3.Thick dense flow:

At the floating and conveying boundary condition, the particles become uneven fluid and a part of particles is coasting at the bottom of pipe and being conveying unceasingly.
4. Stagnant flow(unstable condition)

Most of the particles lose their ability to float and bogged down at the bottom of pipe. The basal area of pipe is reduced partly, so the air velocity increases and winds drift the stagnant particles. The condition that particles are at a standstill and wind drift mutually is unstable.
5.Parts flow:

When the air velocity is low extremely, the particles bogged down at the bottom of pipe and the airflow flow through it, the surface parts of the accumulated particles move irregularly due to the airflow. The accumulation horizon is moving like sand hill as the time goes on.
6. Stagnant flow( dense phase)

At the fulfill delivery condition, the accumulated particles are being conveyed by air pressure.
Shinchen is able to provide the program, design, manufacture, installation and debugging of the system, and could offer pneumatic conveying for engineering company as well.
