SHINI ST5 Robot Application

Share to:

Due to rising labor costs, manufacturing industry has embraced automation and replaced workers with robots. As technology continues to evolve, machine and software become more sophisticated, manufacturers demand higher degree automation. When they are purchasing robot, manufacturers are not longer consider one main point--the unit price of robot only, but also the operation costs, maintenance costs and the applicable occasions of the robots. As for long-term running a factory, all of these factors count.

Compared with pneumatic-driven robots, servo-driven robots are faster, stabler and more precise and have higher repeatability.  They can be used in wider application. As pneumatic-driven robots is driven by cylinder, they can only pick and place between two positions which is not possible to complete stacking, insert-loading, cutting runner and other downstream automation tasks. Thus, manufacturers prefer servo-driven robot to keep up with the industrial revolution.

A holding group based in Anhui is a leading company in manufacturing rubber, plastic, machinery, mold and automotive products. The products are widely used in automotive, construction machinery, petrochemical, railway and other fields. In mid-2016, the company has purchased 25 five-axes servo driven robot (ST5) from Shini for taking out products and runners from injection molding machine. Customer is very satisfied of SHINI robots’ performance.

Shini ST5 robot is designed to take out products and runners from injection molding machine, it can be divided to single-stage arm and telescopic-arm. They are suitable for 2-plate mold, 3-plate mold and hot-runner system. Capable of arranging, stacking, quality checking, insert-loading and other applications. It’s suitable for injection molding machine under 850T clamp force.
