An Experience Sharing of Workshop Layout

One company in Shangxi specialized in producing automotive interior and exterior accessories, expanded polypropylene, etc. To improve the space utilization of workshop, optimize its layout and make it clean and tidy, our customer need to arrange an overall layout of workshop. After communicate with customer and understand their need, dedicated Shini members provided them with a customized-plan and considerate services.

According to the layout of customer’s factory, the overall plan includes plastic raw material handling system, water systems, electrical system and compress air system. Pipelines are divided into three layers, of which cable bridges and compress air pipes are on the top; material conveying pipes are in the lowest bottom; the water system is in the middle layer since their IMM needs cooling water and chilled water. To ensure construction safety, there is a 0.5 m interval between each layer, and all the pipes are arranged in good order according to the standard specification. Chill water pipes are equipped with high-quality insulation layer featuring effective heat insulation, which can ensuring a constant temperature of chilled water and avoid condensation of moisture. Water and air pipes distributed to each machine are installed with pressure and temperature indicator, which direct display water pressure, air pressure and temperature of system.

The pump station is equipped with a floor-mounted central water pump group, the integrated pump group features better stability and lower noise. Pump is connected with pipelines through flexible hose flange, reducing the impact of vibration on the water system. There are waterproof besides the power line of water pump and cable tray, preventing electrocution caused by water leakage.

SICC provide chilled water for the water system, at the bottom of which a double-layer stainless steel temperature preservation water tank is installed. The large storage capacity of the tank ensures a stable water temperature of the system and avoids frequent startup of SICC, thus ensuring energy saving and longer service life.

Reverse-flow close cooling tower is adopted to greatly reduce splash loss and prevent circling water from directly contacting with air. Automatic water treatment device is installed at the front end of water inlet to keep the water in the whole water system in good quality and reduce pipeline and machine erosion caused by scale deposit, prolonging service life.

Each IMM is equipped with a cabinet power distribution,and there are voltage ammeter and power instructions on its surface, so it is convenient to observe power situation. There is a watt-hour meter installed inside cabinet to record energy consumption during production and provide data for calculating power consumption and production cost. There are also spare port loops inside cabinet in case of increasing auxiliary machines, free customer from converting the layout.
