Speech by Mr. Cem at Pinghu Factory Grand Opening

Dear Chairman Wu, all guests of Shini and ladies and gentlemen,

First of all, I would like to express that I am glad and happy to be here in this new plant opening as a member of Shini which is one of the biggest leader company in the world in the field of plastic ancillary and automation equipment supplier. I am also proud of Wu family whom let me and my company Hastek comes to this stage for many years, not only as a business partner but also as one of their family members.

Actually, I am proud to say that I am one of the oldest foreign partners of Shini. It was 13 years ago, in 1997, when I met Kenny in their Taiwanese workshop, and they were only producing simple hopper loaders, hopper dryers and mold temperature controllers. But I was quite impressed that they were so serious about the product quality as well as the technological improvements. At that time my company was a new company and Kenny and his father showed their great interest to my company. And I ordered one container of products. After all, we increased our sales potential with their great help and my company became one of the biggest plastics ancillary equipment providers in our territory Turkey. During this period, Shini improved their product range, production capacity and now Shini is one of the biggest worldwide companies in the field of manufacturing the products of complete raw material handling, heating, cooling and granulating. In addition to that, in the beginning of this year Shini has established a new plant in Dongguan for producing product handling equipment like robots and conveyors, which will enable Shini to be one of the biggest robotics automation systems suppliers in the world.

I would like to give you some information about my company. Hastek was established in 1998. The main activities of Hastek is to provide engineering solutions to plastics processors as well as the processing equipment like injection molding machines and the related ancillary automation products. The main sales and service center of Hastek is in Istanbul. In this facility Hastek also have their showroom with 1200m2 demonstration area. In Istanbul, Hastek also have a duty free office and warehouse with 500m2. In addition to that, Hastek has just opened a new showroom and sales office in the middle of Istanbul. To serve to customers efficiently, Hastek also have a branch office in the west of Turkey, in Izmir where the Turkish plastic industry is growing very fast in last years.

The main goal of Hastek is to be a bridge between the world biggest machinery suppliers and the plastics processors in Turkey. In order to achieve good and long lasting service to both customers and suppliers, Hastek has been fully organized for sales, logistics and after-sales service activities. From the beginning of our cooperation with Shini for 12 years, Hastek always aimed to improve their product quality and therefore has cooperated with Shini accordingly to provide customers the best quality and functionality of the products. Because of the strategic location of Turkey and also due to the increasing production costs in Europe, many investors is now moving their production facilities to eastern Europe and also to Turkey nowadays. This makes Turkey one of the biggest plastics processing countries in European and Middle Eastern region of the world. Many worldwide automotive companies, household machinery manufacturers are having their own production facilities in Turkey. In this highly growing market, the requirements to the plastics automation equipments are getting more and more important. To serve such a big demand of the plastics market at the gate of Europe, Asia, Africa and Russia, Shini and Hastek have been cooperated for many years to improve the product and the service quality. Shini and Hastek also participated to European and middle eastern one of the biggest international plastics exhibition in Istanbul for many years successfully.

As you know, plastics industry is growing very fast. Everyday new thermoplastics are being invented. In addition to that, many metallic parts are being replaced by plastics. Therefore the application alternatives of plastics are increasing day by day. Each plastic needs to be processed in different way and in different conditions. To process the plastics in these different conditions, processors always need different kind and functionality of the equipment. With its many years experience in plastics industry, Shini is actually able to provide almost all kind of equipment to process plastics in this very fast developing market. To reach this big demand of growing market, Shini has always improved the production technologies and capacities by investing new plants in Taiwan, China and India. I can easily say that Shini is actually the worlds largest plastics automation equipment producer which produce almost all parts in its in-house facilities.

Now, I am proud to be in this new Pinghu plant opening ceremony. As a member of Shini family, I have full trust to Wu family and I wish all of you a great success in the future.
