EOF Application of Oil Filter on SD-H

In plastic injection molding, some plasticizer will be added in plastic materials to improve their flow property. During drying process, hot air passing through material surface will dissolve little vaporized plasticizer. But the drying system is a hermetic circulative one, that if there is plasticizer in the air returning from drying hopper, the honeycomb will become insufficient for dehumidifying. Therefore, we often place an oil filter of returning air to separate oil from it, when there is much plasticizer in the returning air of drying system.

The old type oil filters include copper coil tube cooling structure, paper filter, and cyclone separating structure. When it works, wet hot air from the process hopper is separated via cyclone separating structure, cooled down, and then filtered when going through cartridge filter. Finally, the air enter into honeycomb with little plasticizer in. But for cooling components sake, the cooling efficiency is very low. Furthermore, the hot air is separated previous to cooling when the oil molecules are still gaseous state, so that the cyclone structure doesnt function. In addition, there are a lot of disadvantages using cartridge filter, since it is very easy to be damaged. Its service life is very short, and it is insufficient to filter. Therefore, our company has developed EOF series of oil filter. And it can be applied in the drying system of plastic material with honeycomb rotor. It can filter the returning air effectively, and has many advantages compared to existing technologies.


■ High cooling efficient that facilitated to liquefy oil.
■ First separate via cyclone and then cool down the returning air, and that result in a little small floating oil molecules separating from the air.
■ Stainless filter with long service life.
■ It is very efficient using absorbent charcoal to absorb the oil.
 

 

The appearance of oil filter EOF-30~500 is showed in the figure 1 above. And it is usually placed in the position between process hopper and honeycomb rotor. When the air returning from the process hopper goes through EOF-30~500, cooled down and separated via cyclone, it can be filtered very efficiently after passing the stainless filter for simple filtration and the absorbent charcoal for ultra-filtration.
