Views about New Technology of Shini Eco-friendly and Automated Themes

Shini Plastics Technologies, Inc., manufacturer with largest output of plastics auxiliary equipment around the world, stated its view in CHINAPLAS 2010 held in Shanghai along with its latest technology. Mr. Chris Chang, Assistant General Manager of Shini Group Corporation Strategic Center, introduced views of Shini for this exhibition and its current situation.

Views about New Technnology

Regarding to economic recovery, Chris Chang gives his opinion: one feature of this economic revival is its promptness which is also shown in the number of exhibitors. Many exhibitors especially some major companies participate in the show. Quite a lot of Japan exhibitors didnt turn up last year because of depression, while the situation is much better for this year. The visitors and agents are so vigorous that we have received cheerful messages, and some manufacturers even placed orders at the booth. We found that customers demand rush orders with shorter delivery time; requirements about automation are also notable which have connection with manpower shortage; eco-friendly technique is becoming the trend in this industry.

Focusing on market attractions, Shini puts the latest technology on display which including the following main aspects: the first one is new refrigerant. The widely used R22 employed by small and medium size refrigerators damages the ozone layer and has been listed as control item. The phase-out schedule shows that it should be abandoned from 2010 for Europe and America, and 2013 for China. On this account, Shini developed chillers that all use eco-friendly refrigerant replacing R22.

The second one is saving energy. For instance, SCD-ES "All-In-One" Energy Saving Compact Dryers integrate plastics dehumidifying, drying and conveying into one unit, and are especially suitable for processing hygroscopic engineering plastic materials which can save up to 40% of energy. Several technologies have patent protection now and some others are applying for patents.

The third one is the latest STM-910MW that equips magnetic drive pump with electromagnetic coupling which avoids leakage. The self-developed magnetic drive pump has low costs and advantages such as free from maintenance and tending, and no consumables are used. Back water from the mold returns to the cooling tank and is cooled in direct way. It is then pressurized by the high-pressure pump and sent to the heating tank and finally to the mold to maintain stable temperature. Microprocessor controller keeps stable temperature and brings affluent extended functions. The self-produced magnetic drive pump avoids leakage by realization of static sealing, and ensures stable operation for long run without leakage.

Another view is that Shini Plastics Technologies, Inc. and Syncro Corp. are planning to set up a joint venture named Shini-Syncro Extrusion Control, Inc. in Dongguan, Guangdong Province and the Loss-In-Weight Dosing & Mixing System is exhibited in the show. With patent and high precision, this system is suitable for material supplying production line calling for different sorts of materials with fixed mixing proportion. Chris Chang gives a conclusion that potential of extrusion industry makes it possible to double the market, and all in all, Shini product possesses its unique value now.

Up to now, products of Shini includes: Drying & Dehumidifying series, Feeding & Conveying series, Dosing & Mixing series, Heating & Cooling series and Granulating & Recycling series. Robots and Hot Runner Products are newly developed. After being launched, 200 sets of Shini Robots have been sold. Hot Runner System is put on sale in domestic country.

Expansion

Lots of companies were affected by the financial crisis last year, while Shini takes an optimistic attitude to plastics industry. Factories in Taiwan, Dongguan and Pinghu are keeping expanding among which the newly built Pinghu factory is the largest production base of Shini Group with 450 employees and the number will reach 1,000 in the future. Branch office in India was set up in 2009 and productivity of Shini Group doubled from 2009 to 2010. Domestic economy revives rapidly this year, says Chris Chang. We own 54 overseas agents whose business accounts for 30% of the total, but the Great China Market (including Taiwan) is still our key point. Expansion of last year has laid the foundation for economic recovery of this year to satisfy our customers.

Overseas business of Shini Group is also significant. Business of Iran market increased by 95.36% last year and ranked first both in magnitude and revenue. Business of Algeria market increased by 62.03% and for Vietnam the growth was 7.8%. Chang says that as a developing country, Vietnam attracts much foreign investment and many a company will transfer into Vietnam. With growth, its increase for this year is expected to be more than 30%. There was a visiting mission from Vietnam whose members are all optimistic to plastics processing industry. India market is also promising. In a word, we are confident of domestic market. As there are many uncertainties in overseas markets, we also should be prudent as well as optimistic, adds Chris Chang.
