Report on Barbecue Party

Share to:

Corporation Strategic Center organized a barbecue party in Lixiang Wetland Park on May 15 in order to promote personnel exchange and foster teamwork. Drawing lessons from barbecue in 2009, this event achieved complete success. It gave a lot of pleasure, promoted communication and enhanced teamwork.

Planning & Organizing

Under the guidance of Chris Chang, we formed the habit of planning ahead. Besides learning from experience of the barbecue in 2009, we went deep into the plan and made every item concise and concrete.
The plan includes division of work, rental of holding place and barbecue utensils, purchase and distribution of goods, grouping, transport arrangements and budget estimation.

Execution

We arrived at the park at 8 a.m. on May 15 by car. The party began after distribution of foodstuff and utensils. Principal of each group arranged reasonably the manpower, and fire was made in a moment. Different foods were put on the grill for roasting and gave out pleasant smell in a short while.

Some roasted food was as black as charcoal because of peoples lacing experience. The skill is wrapping the foodstuff and spices with tin foil paper before roasting it. By this way, the food would have attractive color and flavor.

At that moment, Lixiang Park was full of laughter, and curling smoke shone the park. Besides yummy food, the elaborate Hot & Sour Soup and Lemon Tea made by Chris Chang reconciled the grease which was popular and nearly in short supply.

We participated in some entertainment after the great roast: playing volleyball, Frisbee and dodgems. Everyone fully enjoyed the games and pleasant atmosphere was all around. People didnt returned to the company until the party concluded at 2:30 p.m..

From beginning to end, everyone played his part and tried his best to fulfill the task which contributed a lot to this barbecue party.

Leadership
As plan maker and implementer, we sponsors worked out and carried out the event plan, and successfully held the party.

Everyone involved in the event played a vital role throughout it. To integrate management training given by Chris Chang into the party which yielded great benefits is what we gained and experienced from the event.

Domination

As the proverb goes, plans cant keep up with changes because there were always some unexpected circumstances. How we handled this is we used many hands to make light work.

By selecting 1 sponsor, 6 co-sponsor and 12 principals, peoples initiative was greatly promoted. At the same time, the person in charge can timely seize the schedule and gave us an impressive party.

Conclusion
As a sponsor, I learned quite a lot from the event and put the knowledge of management into practice. Proper plan, good organization, responsible leadership and flexibility are all essential for doing best.

Finally, I hope that everyone can take an active part in group activities to promote friendship, enhance team spirit and make us a big family with concerted and strenuous efforts.
