SHINI HOT RUNNER SYSTEM: R&D for Numerous, Precise and Excellent

1 main sprue with 96 nozzles of SHINI HOT RUNNER SYSTEM has the feature of numerousness, precision and excellent. Its product, battery cover, belongs to small plastic work piece. Small work pieces are plastic products weighed from a few grams to several hundred grams. This kind of products requires better accuracy and higher quality. Some requirements have to be met in their manufacturing process: 1. The choice of gate and the gate-mark treatment from breaking or trimming. 2. No cold slug injecting into the cavity is allowed in injection. 3. The distance among injection points depends on the mold size.

 

Numerous:

 There are as many as 96 nozzles in one mold; weight of single part is only 1g, with vertical shut-offs between them

 Usually the tonnage of injection machine is 280T, lacking of clamping force, but SHINI plastics auxiliary equipment can help to increase the capacity of clamping force

 Shorten of cycle time: within 10s

 The temp-controller can’t be too large; the accuracy of controlling temperature should be within ±0.5℃ with 109 points

 The runner direction of manifold block must be averaged and balanced and make sure there is no carbonation in the melting PP plastic

 To meet the demand of small space between nozzles, the nozzle, which adopts SHF specification, is made flat and sharp. The inner flow passage diameter is ø3.5mm, and uses heater rod as heat element

 

Beautiful:

Thickness of injection gate of battery cover is only 1.1mm. To ensure product’s perfect cosmetic, this system adopts pin-point injection to reduce inner stress of gate and prevent the product from pulling.

 

Accurate:

It is hard for CNC machine to produce battery covers that are completely satisfactory just by one tryout since the mold is too large, and some issues like leakage or no injection on the hot runner may occur. After continuous analyzing and testing, engineers solved these problems by adjusting temperature, changing heat elements, etc... And finally, we made products with excellent appearance, reliable and stable quality.

As far as we know, the designing requirements, R&D concept and technology application of this system are the first of this kind in China. And its success gives the SHINI Group great inspiration and motivation.

1 main sprue with 48 nozzles system, which belongs to open system, cost only 15 days from design to mold assembly. It is designed to produce medicinal bottles by pure PE plastics, which means, it has a higher standard for hygienic safety and sanitary security.

 

Numerous:

  There are as many as 48 nozzles in the mold; the weight of single part is only 6g and there are vertical shut-offs between them.

 Tonnage of injection machine is 280T, lacking of clamping force, the SHINI plastics auxiliary equipment can help to increase the capacity of clamping force.

 Shorten of cycle time: within 12s.

 The temp-controller uses one cart two points system to narrow down space effectively; meanwhile, it can control the temperature of 55 points.

 The flow channel of manifold block is very balanced, and there should be no carbonation in the melting PP plastic.

 The nozzle size is SHF12.

 

Beautiful:

Pin-point injection method of this system can quickly make the melt plastics fill into the cavity and ensure the excellent appearance without any drawing, casting or slug.

 

Accurate:

      Inserts in the mold need high mate precision. Besides, this hot runner system must be met

 All the 48 nozzles can work and no short shot in injection, to ensure the output and quality

 No defects like yellowing or blackening, drawing, casting and cold slug on the products

 Part dimensions must be in tolerance

 LOGO on the products should be free of drawing or whitening

 To save space, the temp-controller can’t be too large; the accuracy of controlling temperature must be within ±0.5℃
